365 Days of Skywatching

UniverseToday recently posted "365 Days of Skywatching" for free download from their website - this is a wonderful book and a great introduction to skywatching for everybody. The book gives advice on appropriate binoculars and telescopes for the beginner skywatcher, how to begin observing the night sky, and what sorts of things to keep in mind as you head out there. The book consists of daily recommendations for observations, historical facts about astronomers, and lots of information about celestial objects. If you've ever thought of taking a deeper look at the night sky, this is a good place to start.
