It's really hard to capture the nebulosity of the Pleiades in the optical just because you have all these booming bright young stars and whispy little filaments of gas and dust. It's really impressive that going to such a longer wavelength regime gives you such a nice picture.

It's really interesting too that the red emission in the picture is coming from gas that's only a few hundred K.

I know the feeling. I did the same thing with those blazing iron dealies a few weeks ago. I hate it when they do that.
