The End of Modernity

The above sculpture, entitled "The End of Modernity," was created by artist Josiah McElheny in an attempt to evoke both the modernist chandeliers at the Met Opera House and the Big Bang theory. At his disposal, he had the advice of astronomer David Weinberg at Ohio State University. A wonderfully unique piece part of McElheny's new show, "Modernity 1929-1965." Read the NYTimes article here.
