Crisis in American Physics
An essay from today's New York Times on the current state of physics in the United States, and on the need for the new International Linear Collider to be built on American soil in order for the country to maintain its status in physics. Fermilab's Tevatron accelerator, thw world's most powerful accelerator and currently seeding the country's research in elementary particle physics, will be shut down in 2010.
