Dante and Galilean Invariance

An Italian physicist has determined that The Divine Comedy includes a surprisingly vivid description of the principle of Galilean Invariance, implying that Dante had a clear intuition about a concept that Galileo would establish as one of the fundamental principles of modern science more than three centuries later.
